Just because I am blonde, good looking with a Finnish touch, doesnt mean I am from Finland.
This morning, when the cleaning lady knocked on the door she first was speaking in swedish, but when she saw my face she immidiatelly started to speak finnish. Why? oh why?
So, to clear things out for you. My last name is Eronen, like the famous construction company (?) in Finland. But I have lived in Sweden all my6 life and was the first time ever in Finland with Sparzanza this year.
I sincerelly would liked to have been here earlier, because I love Finland and the people here. It is after all, my herritage.
See ya!!!

Today we announced our upcoming Finnish tourdates in october. It will be really fun to go back again, this time mostly to places bigger than last time. Im really looking forward to play Tavastia in Helsinki, I head alot of good stuff about that place. Also Teatria and Rock in Hood will be nice to play again!
So, today I spend some time updating our tour dates on MySpace, Facebook and so on. It took a while!
Then I was supposed to go and see Adrian Erlandsson from Arch Enemy having a drum clinic in town, but I had to have an emergency meeting so I missed it!
I also got some mails regarding what equipment we use in the band. Instead of lining it all up here and giving the companies free advertising (without giving us free stuff) I suggest you visit our website and check out each members profile.
The 7″ split ep with Grand Massive is out! Get it at www.sparzanza.com or www.deaf-dumb.com/sparzanza
It will be nice to hear what you think about the unreleased track “Hollow”.
A few other items are added to the shop aswell. And very, very soon! I believe it will be on october 1st, a new single will be released on iTunes, Spotify and more! Only The Black Cult knows what song I am talking about right now!
Last saturday we took a trip to Eskilstuna to play at the festival “Sommarens Sista Suck”. It was a really nice small festival, in a very nice town. The gig was really good, really great sound and everything was arranged very well. A big thanks to mr. Lundgren and ms. Bokström who did a great job and took good care of us!
Afterwards we had a blast in the backstage tent with the guys and girls from The Black Cult Stockholm and The Black Cult Eskilstuna. Big thanks to you too! You rock!
Although I heard that a new member in the cult in Eskilstuna had one drink too many! Too bad for you man!!!
The upcoming weekend will be exciting. Not only do we play at the festival Sommarens Sista Suck in Eskilstuna, Sweden, but the JPF Music Awards is taking place in Nashville. Unfortunately we can’t attend the happening. But we are certain that we will win in some of the categories we are nominated in! Wish us the best won’t you!
Otherwise, what is happening in the Sparzanza camp? Well, CJ finally got his “Black Gemini”, a nice black Harley Davidson motorcycle. So me and him has been on a few trips around our nice countryside! Great to have him back on a bike! Me, I took mine to a wedding last saturday, a bit of a journey in really bad weather! Man, did i get wet!
Yesterday me, Magnus and Åberg was in the rehearsal room (which for the first time in ages is actually clean) and we wrote a new song, which turned out very heavy! Gonna be good to play it for the others on thursdays rehearsal.
We also released the new track we recorded aswell as the unreleased “Hollow” to our Black Cult Chapters a few days ago, and got great feedback on both of them.
The single with “Hollow” will be available only on gigs and on our webshop withing a few weeks. The new track we recorded is being pitched for radio right now so you will hear it very soon on your favourite radio station.
Sitting in the bus on our way home from our weekend trip. Stockholm was a blast, as always, good audince that screamed for more. And and of course the mighty Black Cult street teem showed up and made the evening even better. To bad the stage was a bit small, it gets a bit frustrating when you want to jump around, still you get that good club-gig feeling – sweaty and hotter than hell. On thursday morning we meet up with the legendary photgrapher, micke johansson, from sweden rock magazine and took some nice pictures. He also told us some nice stories when he shot and toured with motley crue, kiss, europe to name a few. After that we left for gävle, a nice town north of stockholm. We had some hours to spend before the gig so we went to a music shop where Fred bought a nice acoustic guitar, we´ll see how long it takes before we have 3 guitars on stage. The gig went well, not as crazy audience in stockholm though, but we had a really good time. Today is also a big day for our friend ”0,1 ton man” Jocke Johansson from The band The national anthems – hes getting married! So a big congratulations to you and your wife from Sparzanza.
Tomorrow, you wont have to worrie about your weight anymore, fatboy!
Hell yeah! Mr. Monster Magnus Eronen is back after having his first child. A beautiful daughter named Alva. Everything is well with all of the family! We thought that maybe he had forgotten to play guitar, but hell no, his solo yesterday in “Red Dead Revolver” was fuckin awesome.
The club was crowded, and it was so hot that even the not so very muscular me (Joey) had to take my shirt of. All the girls went crazy
;-
Today we met up with the legendary photographer Micke Johansson to take some photos for Sweden Rock Magazine. Mr Johansson has been taking pics of rockstars for ages. He told us a few funny stories about Nikki Sixx, Blackie Lawless and Kiss.
Now we are on our way to Gävle, to give the Gästrikeländers some hell!!! We need to stop for more beer first!
Just came back to Sweden after performing at the fine festival Q-stock in Oulu, Finland. As you already know, we got to replace Anthrax, since they had to cancel their show.
We left yesterday at 3 in the morning to get to the airport, everyone was pretty tired. Kristofer had not slept at all, and the rest of us just a few hours.
After being in the van for 4 hours we tried to check in at the airport, but somehow our tickets had been cancelled. The only one who had a ticket was Kim, our driver. We talked to some nice ladies that tried to help us out, but the best they could do was to get us a replacement flight that landed in Oulu at 19.55, and we should hit the stage at 20.00.
We changed airline and almost had a solution to fly to Copenhagen and catch a flight to Finland from there, but that did not work. So, in the end we ended up flying to Luleå, and the festival was nice enough to send a car for us to pick us up and drive us to the festival.
So after long hours of waiting at the airport and another 3 hours in a hot van we finally came to Q-stock, with 45 minutes to spare. We rushed our soundcheck and hit the stage on time, greeted by thousands of happy fans! Gig was great, afterparty was also great, and the trip back today SUCKED!!!
Thanks to all of you who came to watch us, thanks to Q-stock and especially our nice drivers that had the patience with us crazy Swedes!
