Hell yeah! Mr. Monster Magnus Eronen is back after having his first child. A beautiful daughter named Alva. Everything is well with all of the family! We thought that maybe he had forgotten to play guitar, but hell no, his solo yesterday in “Red Dead Revolver” was fuckin awesome.

The club was crowded, and it was so hot that even the not so very muscular me (Joey) had to take my shirt of. All the girls went crazy
;-

Today we met up with the legendary photographer Micke Johansson to take some photos for Sweden Rock Magazine. Mr Johansson has been taking pics of rockstars for ages. He told us a few funny stories about Nikki Sixx, Blackie Lawless and Kiss.

Now we are on our way to Gävle, to give the Gästrikeländers some hell!!! We need to stop for more beer first!

Q-stock

Just came back to Sweden after performing at the fine festival Q-stock in Oulu, Finland. As you already know, we got to replace Anthrax, since they had to cancel their show.

We left yesterday at 3 in the morning to get to the airport, everyone was pretty tired. Kristofer had not slept at all, and the rest of us just a few hours.
After being in the van for 4 hours we tried to check in at the airport, but somehow our tickets had been cancelled. The only one who had a ticket was Kim, our driver. We talked to some nice ladies that tried to help us out, but the best they could do was to get us a replacement flight that landed in Oulu at 19.55, and we should hit the stage at 20.00.

We changed airline and almost had a solution to fly to Copenhagen and catch a flight to Finland from there, but that did not work. So, in the end we ended up flying to Luleå, and the festival was nice enough to send a car for us to pick us up and drive us to the festival.
So after long hours of waiting at the airport and another 3 hours in a hot van we finally came to Q-stock, with 45 minutes to spare. We rushed our soundcheck and hit the stage on time, greeted by thousands of happy fans! Gig was great, afterparty was also great, and the trip back today SUCKED!!!

Thanks to all of you who came to watch us, thanks to Q-stock and especially our nice drivers that had the patience with us crazy Swedes!

Replacing Anthrax!

Posted by joey
Thursday, 2009-07-23 at 18:56

Yesterday was a perfect day! Started out by having a bachelor party for my friend Jocke, guitarplayer of The National Anthems. We got to spray him down with a fire hose, that was cool. Then we shot some paint ball at each other. I was pretty lucky and did not get hit that bad, unlike some other dudes that had large red dots all over their backs!

Right after that I got a very nice text message. “Anthrax has cancelled Q-stock! Do you wanna play?”. Well what can you say, of course. So a bit of calling here and there to fix the details, and soon we are of. Q-stock is a nice festival in Oulu, Finland, that we played at in 2007 before lots of crazy fans. I guess this will be even better, since the stage is much bigger this time. Maybe I have to get my old Anthrax albums out and practice some moshing riffs for the Anthrax fans that might be dissapointed. You never know!

After the war!!!

The gig at the riff off festival in Vingåker was great! It was a rainy day, but we were lucky and no rain fell during our gig. Fred got Premier Cola (only Cuba Cola is worse) in his throat during My World of sin, which made him almost choke! We met some really nice die hard fans after that had travelled a long way to see us. That is always fun!

Our friends in Damien did a good gig aswell. Their singer, PG, really knows what to do onstage. They played their “Black Heart” and dedicated it to us, we did not play our “Black Heart” today.

Now we are having the afterparty in the tour bus on the way home. Hell yeah, cheers!!!!!

Hell yeah, the future is here, sitting on the bus writing this, bluetooth connected to mr washburns iPhone. Feels good, sipping on some strong coffe and listening to Ramstein. Tonight Magnus is replaced by our own guitar hero Mr Karhu, he did a god job in Finland, so he got the chance again…

Also our dedicated driver The Kim is back on track, driving like a maniac while the rain is fucking pooring down outside, I´ll hope we make it to the gig tonight…

See ya tonight!

Well, the headline might be a bit confusing! But, me, Calle and Evil spend a few hours in the studio yesterday. We are going to record a cover song soon. We are not gonna tell you what song we are working on. But we tried to make our own version of the song yesterday. To make a Sparzanza version of the song. Not easy but I think we managed to get it pretty hard and very heavy!

Now I’m of to buy beer!

Hey! It was a while someone wrote on the Sparzanza blog. So, just a little update!
Magnus, our guitarplayer, got a daughter on july 3rd. Congratulate him in our guestbook please! This is why he won’t be playing with us on saturdays show at the RiffOff Festival. He will be back in the end of july for a couple of gigs that will be announced very soon.

As for me I was doing some work at the festival in Arvika this weekend. It was not a very good festival, mostly synth bands and indie bands. I did get to see David perform with Mustasch! He did a good job and actually played his pants to pieces!

Today the weather is shit here, which means no bikeriding! But, we will try to get into the studio today me, Calle and Evil, to try to record some stuff.
